Sa 2 May 2009 - Open Alblasserwaard '09 - Groot Ammers, NL

John made the last 16 of the tournament where he lost 2-3 in legs, against Peter Akkerman. His teammate Arjan Brussaard made it to the quarterfinals where he lost to Dick van Dijk 2-3.

Su 3 May 2009 - Oud-Beijerland, NL - HWDO Ranking
John made the semifinals where he lost against Wesley Bunk, 2-3 in legs. Lokken won the match for the 3rd/4th place against former teammate Lenard Fiere, 3-1 in legs. Eventually Arjan Brussaard won the final against Bunk with 4-1 in legs.

Sa 16 May 2009 - Strijen, NL - Strijense Ranking '09
The first tournament of the Strijense Ranking has been held in 't Wapen van Strijen where John made it to the semifinals, where he couldn't make a fist against junior Dave van Zanten. Dave van Zanten whitewashed another youngster in the final, Patrick van der Boogaard. Teammate Michel van Roon made it to the semifinal as well.

Su 17 May 2009 - Sommelsdijk, NL - Flakkee Ranking
The last tournament of the ranks has been held at the Sportscentre De Staver. John has been eliminated at the last sixteen of the tournament where he lost to Danny Troost. Troost won the tournament and became champion of the island Goeree-Overflakkee, his first. Lokken became 11th of the Ranks, he played four tournaments of the possible ten tournaments that has been held this season. The photo above: John with Wim Bakelaar, who became this years runnersup.

We 20 May 2009 - Oud-Beijerland, NL - Sheggy's Summer Ranking

The first tournament of the year at Sheggy's Place in Oud-Beijerland. Last year John became second on the ranks. Today the first of sixteen tournaments. John made it to the quarterfinals where he lost against Lenard Fiere, 2-3 in legs.

Th 21 May 2009 - Open Cromstrijen 2009 - Numansdorp, NL

In the pairs competition John and Arjan showed some great darts making the quarterfinals, where they won 3-2 in legs against Dick van Dijk / Cor Groenewegen. Then the pair had to play in the semifinal against Jan van der Rassel / Wilco Vermeulen. Lokken throwed a bad last leg, this gave Van der Rassel/Vermeulen some freedom and finishing and so Lokken/Brussaard were eliminated in the semifinals with 2-3 in legs. Van der Rassel and Vermeulen won the final against good friends Jan Hokke / Martin Jongejan.

In the singles competition Lokken lost in the second round against Michael van Dijk, 1-3 in legs.

Sa 23 May 2009 - Hemiksem Open 2009 - Hemiksem, Belgium

John showed his good form at this tournament. Most of the opponents were Softtip Dartsplayers. Eventually John made it to the quarterfinals, where he won 3-0 in legs. In the semifinals John won 3-1 in legs. In the final he had to play against one of the best Softtip player of Belgium. It was a very tough match from both sides, but still Lokken won the match 4-3 in legs. A good tournament victory against some new and tough opponents.

Sa 4th - Su 5th April 2009 - PDC Tournaments - Nuland, NL

On Saturday John had to play Darren Johnson. John played a good match, but still couldn't win this match and so he lost in round one.

On Sunday same thing happened, a good match, but John couldn't make a fist against Ray Farrell from Northern-Ireland.

Mo 13th April 2009 - Dirksland - Flakkee Ranking

John made it to the final where he lost 1-2 in sets against Ad Karman. Peter Meijer was beaten by Lokken in the quarterfinals, 3-1 in legs. Former-teammate Frans Wolfert was beaten 4-2 in legs by John in the semifinals.

Su 19th April 2009 - Oud-Beijerland - HWDO Ranking

Again John made it to the final, where he lost against former-teammate Lenard Fiere. 4-5 in legs. Lokken won in the semifinals against Rankingleader Wesley Bunk, 3-2 in legs.

Sa 25th April 2009 - WDF International Holland Open - Schiedam, NL

John played the pairs competition of this tournament with Arjan Brussaard. Arjan and John made some good impressions and really showed their best darts and made it to the last 16, where they lost against Alan Norris and Stephan Gerritsen. Still a good result -> 9th place out of 250 pairs.

Su 26th April 2009 - Dirksland - Flakkee Ranking

John made the semifinals where eventually lost against the very talented Corné Groeneveld, 3-4 in legs. A nice 3rd place. The tournament was won by Groeneveld in the final against Wim Bakelaar.

Regional Tournaments

Lokken is still making progress in the region, this with some good results:

20 March 2009 - Groot Ammers - Dikke Maatjes Ranking - 2nd place

John won matches against Niels Alblas and Hugo Vleesakker before he lost in the final against Wesley Boonstra, 3-4 in legs.

27 March 2009 - Ouddorp - Flakkee Ranking - 2nd place

John won matches against Arjan Versendaal and Danny Troost before he lost in the final against John Vlietland, 1-2 in sets.

29 March 2009 - Open Zwaluwe Pairs - 3rd place (with Martin Jongejan)

John and Martin took a great 2nd round win over Jeroen Kromeich and Elvin Geerlof. In the semifinals John and Martin had to play against Tony and Steve West. West/West were in good shape and won 5-3 in legs. Lokken/Jongejan had to play for the 3rd place against Robert Treffers and Andries Sterk. Lokken/Jongejan showed what they were made off and won 3-0 legs and took the 3rd place. The pairs tournament was won by West/West, they won against Toon Greebe and Christian v. Overdijk in the final. Have a look at the picture below. This is where our mate Dick van Dijk is talking psychologic against Robert Treffers (HAHAHA), in the match for the third place.

29 March 2009 - Open Zwaluwe Singles - 2nd Round

Lokken couldn't get past Kevin Visser, a softtip player. Lokken was 2-0 up, but lost 2-3 because he was missing a lot of doubles. Good credits voor Kevin Visser, because he was playing well.

Lokken wins Nieuw-Beijerland Open

Last Friday John Lokken played the 12th edition of the Nieuw-Beijerland Open. Lokken had to face teammate Nico Vermeulen in the final and won 4-0 to take the title and other prizes.

The tournament began with a groupfase and later on a knockout. Lokken played Martijn de Heer in his quarterfinal (4-0) and Edwin Bestebreur (4-1) in the semifinal, before he played his final against Vermeulen.

Lokken also took the prize for the highest finish of the day. He throwed a 138 finish against Edwin Bestebreur in the semifinal.

25th February 2009 - Lisse, NL - 2nd place

6th March 2009 - Numansdorp, NL - 1st place

German Darts Classic 01-03-09

I had to play my first round match against Spanish star Carlos Rodriquez. I played rubbish this match and got whitewashed by the Spanian. Carlos played really well with a load of 180 scores.

German Darts Classic 28-02-09

This was the first PDC tournament of the year. John showed himself in a new shirt and with a new nickname. THE BUTCHER. A new season and a new beginning for John.

In this Saturday's event John had to play in the preround against German Andreas Becker. John played a good match and won this one with 6-4 in legs.

The next match was against Andy Jenkins. The organisation told John he had to play on stage, where there were 300 people watching the games. This became a good experience for John, his first stage match. John didn't played that well, but still made a nice impression. Jenkins showed without nerves he was the more experienced of the two and won 6-2 legs. Still a good result from John, playing in a new atmosphere.

Ouddorp Open 2008 - Results

Saturday 27th December 2008.

John played the Ouddorp Open in Sportcentre the Dorpstienden in Ouddorp. More than 90 people found the location to play the 4th edition of this event. A lot of good local players: Dutch Champion Cor Ernst, Dennis Zijderhand, Martin Jongejan, Roy Gokoel, John Vlietland, Brian Rufi and Arjan Brussaard.

John played a good tournament with wins over Superleague Player - John Vlietland and former teammate - Frans Wolfert. John made the semifinals where he played against Roy Gokoel from Rotterdam. Lokken played a good match but lost 6-4 in legs. So a nice 3rd place and John also took the prize for the highest finish. This because John finished 160 in his last 32 match against John Vlietland.

1st place - Dennis Zijderhand - 500 euro

2nd place - Roy Gokoel - 250 euro

3rd place - John Lokken - 100 euro
